About The Position
Isla Bella Beach Resort, a luxury oceanfront resort in the Florida Keys, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Temporary Maintenance Supervisor to lead our Engineering team during a temporary assignment. This role is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the maintenance department while actively assisting with repairs and preventative maintenance throughout the resort. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent troubleshooting skills who is committed to maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Lead Maintenance Technician, or similar leadership role preferred
- Hotel or resort maintenance experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and make sound decisions
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Valid driver's license preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support the daily activities of the Engineering team
- Assign, prioritize, and monitor maintenance work orders
- Perform and oversee general maintenance and repairs throughout the resort
- Troubleshoot and repair: Plumbing fixtures, Electrical components, HVAC systems, Kitchen and laundry equipment
- Complete or oversee painting, drywall, carpentry, and general building repairs
- Respond promptly to guest and team member maintenance requests
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and facilities to identify repair needs and safety concerns
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime
- Ensure pools and related equipment are properly maintained as needed
- Train, coach, and provide guidance to maintenance team members during the temporary assignment
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with all safety, fire, OSHA, and resort policies and procedures
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
