About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the maintenance department employees, manage daily payroll and paperwork, and ensure compliance with all company policies. This role requires familiarity with plant machinery and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), including maintaining personal hygiene and cleanliness. The supervisor will also be responsible for inspecting products for defects, identifying and reporting abnormal situations, and ensuring the wholesomeness of products. This position operates in a cold/wet/damp environment and requires standing/walking 100% of the workday, with the ability to lift various weights as needed. Requirements

• Familiarity with various types of machinery throughout the plant.
• Ability to maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ability to follow written specifications for packaging and labeling.
• Ability to physically inspect products for defects.
• Ability to identify and report suspicious or abnormal situations.
• Ability to work in a cold/wet/damp environment.
• Ability to stand/walk 100% of the workday.
• Ability to lift various weights on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance department employees (approx. 12-16).
• Verify daily payroll time sheets for all employees in the department.
• Be responsible for daily paperwork such as absentee sheets, vacation requests, and disciplinary action forms.
• Comply with all written corporate and plant policies.
• Be familiar with the various types of machinery throughout the plant.
• Maintain the highest possible level of personal hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with plant GMP policies.
• Follow the written specification for packaging and labeling of products.
• Physically inspect products for both natural occurring and processing defects.
• Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to their immediate supervisor or plant management official.
