About The Position

The Industrial Equipment Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and automation of all industrial equipment within the Plant. This role involves managing a team of technicians, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and driving automation initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. This role will work Sunday through Thursday.

Requirements

Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing technical teams.
In-depth knowledge of industrial automation systems, PLC programming, and robotics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in industrial settings.
Proficiency in maintenance management software and data analysis tools.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Proven experience (3+ years) in industrial equipment maintenance and/or automation within the plastic industry.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of the plastics industry, equipment and processes is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of industrial equipment technicians.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
Ensure timely troubleshooting and repair of equipment to maintain optimal production levels.
Oversee maintenance records and ensure accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify automation opportunities.
Implement automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Stay updated on the latest automation technologies and recommend upgrades as necessary.
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote a culture of safety.
Manage relationships with equipment vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality support.
Oversee inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring availability when needed.
Prepare and present reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and automation projects to plant leadership.
Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate maintenance and automation efforts.
