About The Position

The Afternoon Maintenance Supervisor reports to the Director of Maintenance and is responsible for leading the company’s maintenance technicians. Must bring experience with supervising maintenance teams. Must work 3:00pm to 12:00am Monday through Friday plus occasional weekend days. Maintains a work station in the maintenance building and functions throughout the company’s several operating plants.

Requirements

  • Must be able to work a flexible afternoon schedule that includes occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Experience with Aptean or a similar parts inventory system.
  • Ability to work in a team environment in high pressure situations.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Professional communication skills are essential.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with GMP, HACCP, FDA/USDA and local regulatory requirements
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Adherence to company philosophy & mission statement.
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication at all personnel levels.
  • Able to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to remain safe and keep others safe in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the crew of maintenance techs across all Wolverine operations during the afternoon shift.
  • Uses Aptean to assign work orders and monitor maintenance tech activity.
  • Engages with plant managers and other company leaders to effectively deliver maintenance services.
  • Monitors PTO and attendance for maintenance techs.
  • Documents performance of maintenance techs with written reviews at least one time per calendar year.
  • Takes responsibility for orderliness and efficient operation of the maintenance buildings.
  • Implements, assigns, and monitors preventive maintenance program.
  • Works with the Parts Leader for effective control of parts inventory.
  • Maintains skills matrix for afternoon maintenance techs.
  • Conducts ongoing training with maintenance employees.
  • Responds to maintenance requests from plants and FSQ in a timely and quality manner.
  • Cultivates positive relationships with the production workers, plant leaders, and outside partners.
  • Takes an active approach to work safe and meet safety goals established by the company.
  • Responsible for all other aspects of an efficient crew of maintenance techs.
