The maintenance supervisor oversees building and equipment upkeep by leading and training a team of technicians to conduct preventive maintenance, perform repairs, and manage daily operations to ensure functionality and safety. Key duties include developing maintenance procedures, managing staff, controlling budgets and inventory, ensuring compliance with safety regulations like OSHA, and coordinating with vendors for supplies and external work. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to bridge between maintenance staff and management. Essential Functions of the Job:Safety Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, such as those from OSHA Preventive Maintenance Programs: Develop and implement plans for preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity Assist Planner with scheduling Downtime Work Orders and PM’s Team Leader: Recruit, train, and manage maintenance staff, assigning tasks, evaluate performance, and providing ongoing guidance Maintenance & Repair Oversight: Coordinate and supervise the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and systems Systems: Ability to manage and improve CMMS, specific to BOM’s, PMs, and Job Descriptions Ensure the accurate recording of all maintenance activities within CMMS, including equipment history, repairs, and maintenance costs Inventory & Budget Management: Oversee inventory of tools, parts, and equipment, and contribute to the maintenance budget Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Work with external vendors and contractors to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of maintenance tasks
