SUMMARY: The Maintenance Technician performs various tasks that contribute to the overall maintenance and upkeep of all agency programs and their adjacent grounds and provides support to the Director of Plant Operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Assist and provide back up to the Facilities Maintenance Manager in ensuring that each and every building is operating at maximum efficiency and is safe and secure for employees, volunteers, clients, and visitors Resolve maintenance work orders using an online ticketing system, by using a variety of maintenance skills, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, roofing, air conditioning, drywall repairs, painting, etc. Must be self-motivated and comfortable working independently and confidently solving maintenance issues. Perform preventative maintenance tasks, such as HVAC maintenance, changing light bulbs & ballasts, etc. Assist with lawn maintenance (weed trimming, spraying for weeds) and pest control as needed. Work with vendors to get estimates and ensure work is completed. Undertake special maintenance projects in all agency programs as directed. Log expenses, assist with purchasing and maintaining inventory, and other administrative tasks. Provide excellent customer service to tenants and internal staff. Supervise other maintenance staff and work well as a part of a team. Responsible for regular on-call shifts for maintenance emergencies. Will be responsible for safety inspections and documentation, as well as resolving any insurance inspection items.
