Requirements

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
5-7 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing facility.
Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP and Power Point.
Proven Leadership experience in a Production environment.
Strong team player who can work across multiple functions.
Ability to analyze and solve problems, results oriented.
Able to work under deadline pressures.
Organized and detail oriented, adaptable to change.
Skilled in resolving process and equipment issues to minimize downtime and waste.
Accurately record production data and maintain organized records.
Ensure OSHA, environmental, and corporate compliance.
Timely and accurate completion of monthly Alchemy training.
Communicate effectively with direct reports and all levels of the organization.
Collaborates to ensure smooth workflow.
Follows equipment down-time escalation process.
Make informed decisions with sometimes limited data, learning from outcomes.
Coach others regardless of performance level; help others identify key goals and use their talents to achieve those goals; build relationships; offer praise and recognition.
Proactively take initiative and responsibility for tasks and challenges, demonstrating independent thinking.

Nice To Haves

Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred.
Previous or current experience with dairy and/or aseptic experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Providing leadership for the maintenance functions.
Ensuring proper preventive maintenance of physical plant and all operating equipment.
Performing electrical troubleshooting.
Minimizing equipment downtime to provide maximum production capacity.
Ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Leading and directing the work of other employees.
Having authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.
Continuously improving manufacturing processes in terms of quality and performance measurements and identifying and eliminating bottleneck areas.
Ensuring reliability of plant and equipment operation while optimizing maintenance and operation costs and satisfying all safety, environmental etc. regulations.
Identifying and solving safety concerns encountered during design and study of manufacturing processes.
Devising hands-on improvement processes to reduce scrap and defects while improving throughput and documenting SOPs and the implementation of Best Practices into the facility.
Assisting in coordinating the installation of new equipment to maximize production efficiency and maintainability.
Working with production to make modifications to equipment and work areas for maximum efficiency of operation.
Maintaining a knowledge base in the capacity of existing utilities and the current level of utilization.
Staying abreast of the latest safety, environmental and other regulations which affect the facility to ensure compliance.
Supporting the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the maintenance of the equipment and the facility to ensure the company receives maximum utilization of its assets.
Implementing and ensuring compliance with the systems designed by the manager, focusing on execution and direct oversight.
Assisting in keeping written documentation of environmental compliance current.
Periodically preparing reports to satisfy environmental and safety regulations and ensure a safe and professional work environment.
Reviewing, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and discharging employees as necessary to ensure department meets or exceeds productivity requirements.
Evaluating and recommending improvements to product manufacturability.
Ensuring compliance to all OHSA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards.
Investigating and identifying root causes of any non-compliance.
Being accountable for a safe working environment through the development of strategies focused on accident reduction as well as energy and waste minimization.
Overseeing effective deployment of human resources throughout the plant and ensuring the correct administration of the collective Bargaining Agreement (if applicable).
