Responsible for directing maintenance, facility security, and safety. This includes monitoring and updating maintenance policy and procedure manuals according to guidelines from the State Department of Health, Infection Control, and OSHA. The role involves maintaining adequate departmental coverage, managing the budget, providing general orientation for the maintenance department, and assisting with or directing repairs for all building mechanical equipment and systems. Responsibilities also include construction, electrical, plumbing, telecommunications, fixtures and furnishings, remodeling projects, and ground maintenance. The position requires daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inspections, training for maintenance personnel, monitoring time studies, ordering supplies, managing inventory, creating and submitting bids for supplies and repairs, and active participation in facility committees.
