Maintenance Supervisor in Sarasota, FL
About The Position
The Collier Companies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor! This is an on-site role, reporting from one of The Collier Companies’ community offices in Sarasota, which offers hiking, recreation, and museums. It is home to the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art and the Myakka River State Park. Sarasota has beautiful coastal cultural centers and is one of Florida’s most desirable living locations. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will support and manage the maintenance team in ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet The Collier Company’s established standards. The Supervisor is an expert at trouble shooting, diagnosing problems, and making solutions with a customer service attitude. Responsibilities could include, but are not limited to repairs in areas such as HVAC (if applicable), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural and appliances.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Maintenance/Service Manager or equivalent supervisory position.
- Self-starter who has a strong eye for detail.
- Commitment to Emergency-On-Call (EOC) participation.
- Proven track record of excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize.
Nice To Haves
- Conventional experience a plus!
- Experience with using Entrata Property Management Software is a plus!
- EPA certified and strong HVAC skill set is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support and manage the maintenance team in ensuring that the physical aspects of the property meet The Collier Company’s established standards.
- Trouble shoot, diagnose problems, and make solutions with a customer service attitude.
- Perform repairs in areas such as HVAC (if applicable), electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, dry walling, exterior structural and appliances.
- Recruit new vendors and establish long-term relationships with new and current vendors.
- Participate in emergency on-call rotations.
- Commit to overtime during the Summer/Fall turn season.
