About The Position

This role involves organizing and overseeing the schedules and work of the maintenance department. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all direct reports adhere to lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety practices. A key part of the role is training and supervising Team Members on correct maintenance repair procedures and best practices. The position also requires monitoring the efficiency of all production and plant utilities’ equipment and ensuring that daily preventative maintenance routing sheets are completed. Additional duties may be assigned by Management.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations as it pertains to plant operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to understand and operate the systems and equipment used at the facility; and ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
  • Ability to perform and analyze various system checks.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them appropriately; and prepare maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to work on a team and cooperate with others; positive attitude.
  • Ability to work without supervision; self-motivation and self-direction.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details; good analytical problem-solving ability.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • 3-5 years experience in lead or other related positions.
  • Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.

Responsibilities

  • Train and supervises Team Members on correct procedures to be used when making maintenance repairs.
  • Monitor all production and plant utilities’ equipment efficiencies.
  • Supervise, develop and train Team Members on best maintenance practices.
  • Ensure daily preventative maintenance routing sheets are completed.
  • Perform any additional duties that may be assigned by Management.
