The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance technicians to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of processing, packaging, and utility equipment in a food manufacturing facility. This role focuses on preventative maintenance execution, troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to support plant performance, food safety, and operational uptime.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Experience in food, beverage, or related manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and plant utility systems.
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Computer proficiency including CMMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities for production, packaging, and facility equipment.
  • Assign work orders, prioritize breakdowns, and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety policies and food safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
  • Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support audits and corrective action follow-up.
