Approximately 33,000 employees generated CHF 11.20 billion in sales in 2025. This position will provide leadership for strategic and tactical maintenance activities for the Marion, Ohio operation. This position is tasked with machine reliability, project implementation, and maintenance execution, with strong cost control. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead, direct, and respond to the needs of the maintenance team, while driving actions for success. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Maintenance & Engineering Manager and may include other activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • At least 5 years in leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the Sika SAFE Program.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment in accordance with the Sika Housekeeping policy.
  • Display active leadership in advancing the Sika SAFE culture in Marion pursuing the objectives of zero injuries and Employee engagement.
  • Attain annual safety goals through a solid understanding of safety management as well as the ability to convey and enforce safety rules and procedures.
  • Ensure implementation and evolution of safety guidelines and procedures. Support safety meetings, oversees safety‐related training, implement, and enforce safety guidelines, participates in accident investigations, and ensures compliance with safety regulations and programs.
  • Supervise and train the Maintenance staff, including technicians and other personnel, to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain maintenance programs, scheduling routine inspections, repairs, and upgrades to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Supervise the repair and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, HVAC, and other building systems, ensuring proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance tasks to ensure safe timely completion.
  • Maintain spare parts inventory and the maintenance and repair purchasing process.
  • Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and other departments for specialized repairs, installations, or projects.
  • Perform other work and projects as required by the Maintenance & Engineering Manager.
