This specific role is at Northwest Ordinance Distilling (NOD) in New Albany, IN, Sazerac's newest manufacturing facility, operating 24/7 and primarily producing Fireball Cinnamon Whisky and other spirit brands. NOD is founded on servant leadership and continuous improvement, aiming to build the most efficient, flexible, and engaged plant and team in the Sazerac Manufacturing Network. The company seeks talented individuals eager to develop manufacturing processes and grow their careers. The Maintenance Supervisor will be an onsite position on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with hours of 6:45am-7pm EST. This role involves overseeing daily maintenance operations to ensure equipment reliability, maximize production uptime, and uphold safety and quality standards. The supervisor will lead a team of maintenance technicians, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Requirements

  • Apprenticeship program, technical school, or associates degree.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Relevant working experience to the role and strong planning/organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and quickly learn new systems/processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in high-speed manufacturing.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct maintenance technicians across shifts, ensuring clear task prioritization and accountability.
  • Develop team capabilities through hands-on coaching, technical training, and succession planning.
  • Maintain and manage CMMS data, including work orders, PM schedules, parts inventory, and equipment history.
  • Audit maintenance documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effective tracking of asset performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues, applying structured root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to implement sustainable technical solutions and improve system reliability.
  • Support capital equipment projects, including planning, installation, and commissioning of new systems.
  • Reinforce adherence to regulatory and safety requirements while strengthening a culture of operational discipline.
