The Maintenance Area Leader will direct the work flow in the maintenance department for the assigned shift(s) by managing associates and projects, and work with vendors and contractors as necessary. This role involves overseeing and directing maintenance associates in a safe, quality-minded, and productive manner with a sense of urgency to attain production priorities as scheduled. The position also requires filling in for the Asst. Maintenance Manager in their absence, holding daily pre-shift meetings, and communicating maintenance concerns to leadership and plant personnel. The role supports the implementation and improvement of preventive maintenance programs, contributes to department and plant goals, and conducts performance evaluations and applies progressive discipline when necessary. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor will manage documentation, work with vendors/contractors, lead continuous improvement initiatives, perform maintenance duties, and uphold operating principles. A strong emphasis is placed on a Safety First approach, promoting an environment of zero injuries, and supporting quality and environmental policies. Adjustments to shifts may be required.
