About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance team to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities, minimizes equipment downtime, supports production goals, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 3–5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1–3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) or similar certification.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of maintenance technicians and contractors.
  • Schedule and oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
  • Ensure manufacturing equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor maintenance work orders, prioritize repairs, and manage maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental requirements.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate maintenance employees to improve performance and technical skills.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support operational objectives.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of maintenance supplies.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and recommend improvements to increase reliability and reduce costs.
  • Assist with installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Develop and maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and TPM programs.
  • Participate in budget preparation and control maintenance-related expenses.
  • Implement and manage CMMS
  • Oversee weekly Tool Box Talks and support safety audits
