The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance activities of an Automated Refill Center to include mechanical systems (i.e. refrigeration, conveyor) as well as IT systems (i.e. computer, network, peripheral devices). This role involves reviewing and analyzing reports, records and directives, and conferring with managers/supervisors to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered. The position ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control. It may involve evaluating current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives and developing and implementing improved procedures and practices. The supervisor gives work direction, resolves problems, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. They work with associated vendors to operate, maintain and support proprietary and shelf system software systems, and are responsible for installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer networks, hardware and software. The role also includes maintaining the site safety and security program (LOTO, Hazardous Waste Program, Security inspections, etc.) and the site preventative maintenance planning, including a computerized PM management system and accountability. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor maintains the site level spare parts inventory and usage program to ensure all equipment has adequate spare parts and is responsible for the hiring, training, and development of all personnel within the maintenance team. They create and maintain all preventative maintenance procedures and document repair procedures for future use and training.
