About The Position

First Pointe Management Group (FPMG) is seeking a sharp, versatile, and creative Maintenance Supervisor with strong social skills to join their team at a 160-unit apartment community in Sacramento, CA. This role is crucial to the success of the community, involving all aspects of maintenance, from make-ready units to work orders and preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to interact positively with residents while providing excellent service. This position is part of an on-call rotation and requires the ability to live on-site in a company-provided 2-bedroom/1-bathroom unit. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of all-around maintenance in the property management field for a 125+ unit property.
  • Must be able to live on site.
  • Proficient in working with computers, database, and calendar management for capital improvements.
  • Highly organized to handle work at a fast pace, efficiently with good follow-through.
  • Be proactive to handle anything that comes your way, especially when it comes to emergencies and after hour calls.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Have supervised a staff of at least 2 employees.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs in make-ready units and handle work orders.
  • Assess work to be done in make-ready units.
  • Handle work orders with ease.
  • Be proactive when handling preventative work.
  • Interact with residents' requests and provide excellent service.
  • Prioritize tasks, be creative, and use initiative to problem-solve.
  • Handle emergencies and after-hour calls.
  • Supervise a staff of at least 2 employees.
