About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor plans, coordinates, and supervises maintenance activities to ensure that facilities, equipment, and machinery operate safely and efficiently. The role includes leading maintenance associates, scheduling preventive maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns, and ensuring compliance with company policies and health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years of experience in an Engineering or Maintenance role, preferably in a similar sized hotel property.
  • Outstanding work ethic, along with a track record of reliability, punctuality and an approachable demeanor, and a strong commitment to safety.
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in common mechanical building equipment, food service equipment, and general building maintenance.
  • Exceptional problem-solver, knowing how to troubleshoot and resolve situations efficiently.
  • Agile, able to shift priorities as needed, including handling guest or associate situations that may suddenly occur.
  • Able to work well under pressure and enjoy a fast-paced environment.
  • An excellent communicator who values teamwork and collaboration.
  • Understands and adheres to Health & Safety regulations, laws, and protocols at all times.
  • Good knowledge of plumbing practices, painting, drywalling, and basic carpentry.
  • Physically able to frequently stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, crouch, and lift or carry objects up to 50 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

  • Always provide the highest quality of service to our guests and associates alike, setting a shining example for our team.
  • Supervise, schedule, and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and tradespersons.
  • Plan and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, machinery, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to identify maintenance needs.
  • Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergency repair requests.
  • Assign work orders and monitor completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure maintenance work complies with applicable building codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate maintenance associates.
  • Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment service logs.
  • Coordinate work performed by outside contractors and service providers.
  • Assist during emergencies (fire alarms, medical incidents, security issues).
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and emergency procedures.
