About The Position

This position is responsible for the overall Boiler Maintenance of the Cogeneration Facility. This position supervises contract employees to ensure a reliable and safe Boiler Maintenance program for the facility. They must be able to establish expectations for safety, reliability, quality, service, and productivity. Reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and works with other maintenance planners & supervisors to plan and perform maintenance as required to assure efficient operations. The position is also very involved in applying maintenance reliability practices to avoid maintenance expense and to avoid equipment outages where possible.

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to safety in the performance of maintenance work.
  • Strong demonstrated expertise in mechanical, welding & I&E maintenance with in-depth exposure to other areas.
  • Ability to focus on identification of root causes and corrective actions.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to plan priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, for coordination, training, reporting, and analysis.
  • Strong familiarity with industrial maintenance including Boiler maintenance & operations.
  • Must be proactive in management of priorities, organization and planning, partnering, and utilizing a proactive approach to reliability.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous Coal Boiler operations/maintenance experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years in an industrial maintenance setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Use of Maximo, Coupa & CTS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the maintenance for safe, reliable operation of 9 Coal Boilers & 2 Gas Boilers and maintain state certifications.
  • Manages all aspects of the scheduled outages to ensure they stay on track and complete as scheduled.
  • Responsible for ensuring annual Boiler outage planning and scheduling of manpower and outside contractors are aligned.
  • Ensure Boiler CSD PM’s are completed correctly and stay compliant.
  • Ensure code welding procedures are followed and receives QC documentation of repairs.
  • Responsible for managing forced outage repairs in a safe, timely manner to prevent any disruptions of steam supply to the complex.
  • Uses Maximo and other computer systems to maintain records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance information.
