About The Position

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations while remaining actively involved on the production floor. This is a working supervisor role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, supporting technicians, and leading by example in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee a team of maintenance technicians, coordinate daily maintenance activities, improve equipment reliability, support capital projects, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Delaware Journeyman Electrician License (or ability to obtain within an agreed timeframe).
  • Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Five or more years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience supervising maintenance teams.
  • Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience working with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master Electrician License.
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting capital projects from planning through commissioning.
  • Experience with CMMS or maintenance planning systems.
  • Demonstrated success improving maintenance operations and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Prioritize and coordinate preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Remain actively involved in troubleshooting and repair activities while supporting the maintenance team.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support production.
  • Perform and oversee hands-on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-related maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and lead repair efforts.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and facility improvements.
  • Improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability.
  • Maintain maintenance documentation, work orders, and equipment history.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance resources.
  • Identify and implement practical improvements that increase equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen maintenance processes and overall plant performance.
  • Promote proactive problem-solving and a culture of ownership throughout the department.
  • Support the planning and execution of capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal resources during project execution.
  • Assist with equipment selection, installation, startup, and commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Promote safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and established maintenance procedures.
  • Participate in safety audits and corrective action initiatives.
