Job Summary The Maintenance Supervisor is a salaried colleague responsible for the maintenance team and their daily activities. Additionally, the Maintenance Supervisor oversees contractor management and capital project planning and execution. Facility Expectation Follow the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards. Follow all facility Good Manufacturing Practices as required. Work with other Operations leadership to effectively communicate equipment issues. Participate in morning toolbox, shift exchange/review and response meetings to communicate your key process indicator performance. Provide mentoring and training to maintenance colleagues. Promote pro-active maintenance and efficient task delegation. Work Duties Ensure Safety in Maintenance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures during all activities, including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.​ Compliance with Regulations: Ensure that all maintenance work complies with local, state, and federal safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) as well as company policies.​ Conduct Safety Audits: Regularly perform safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards related to maintenance activities and take corrective actions.​ Monitor Equipment Health: Use predictive maintenance techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermal imaging) to monitor the condition of critical equipment and address issues before failure occurs.​ Coordinate Repairs & Servicing: Ensure timely repairs and maintenance activities for all equipment, coordinating with production schedules to minimize operational disruptions.​ Manage Maintenance Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment servicing, and replacement parts used.​ ​Minimize Downtime: Work with production teams to reduce equipment-related downtime by quickly diagnosing and repairing mechanical or electrical issues.​ Root Cause Analysis: Lead efforts to investigate the root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.​ Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance practices to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and extend equipment life.​ Support Production Goals: Collaborate closely with production teams to ensure maintenance activities support overall goals and do not create bottlenecks. Monitor Equipment Health: Use predictive maintenance techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermal imaging) to monitor the condition of critical equipment and address issues before failure occurs. Coordinate Repairs & Servicing: Ensure timely repairs and maintenance activities for all equipment, coordinating with production schedules to minimize operational disruptions. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to act in a professional manner and adhere by Akralos Code of Conduct
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet working conditions
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a manufacturing environment
