Under the supervision of the Small Molecule Site Maintenance Lead, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and deploying maintenance operation, repairs, and operational improvements of all equipment and machinery of the manufacturing systems and supervises personnel performing these functions. The Supervisor aligns with safety and environmental regulations to ensure execution, compliance, and proper reporting. They will apply their professional and technical experience to resolve simple and complex problems, requiring the exercise of judgment and decision-making. The Supervisor will also collaborate and influence business partners and be a servant leader.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; focused degree Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, and/or Chemical Engineering is preferred
  • At least two (2) years of relevant work experience
  • Engineering experience in Automation, Production Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, and/or related field
  • Experience within a regulated manufacturing industry and solid understanding of global GMP regulations
  • People leadership experience (direct or indirect reports)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to clearly articulate issues
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, and the ability to build credibility within the Quality and Compliance community quickly
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) to communicate effectively and professionally

Nice To Haves

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or Process Excellence training, experience, and/or certification is a plus
  • Solid dosage manufacturing experience
  • Reliability-centered maintenance knowledge
  • Asset Management knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance are performed in the areas of responsibility.
  • Ensure the repair, installation, and maintenance of equipment are conducted according to the established requirements and in compliance with applicable SOP.
  • Supervise in-house and subcontracted jobs in the area of responsibility to ensure compliance with the requirements and company policies, as applicable.
  • Train maintenance technicians to complete forecasted planned/ corrective/emergency/calibration/ predictive maintenance and project support for assigned assets.
  • Lead allocation of technicians in collaboration with operations, facilities supervisor and scheduler.
  • Support the Maintenance & Reliability Engineering and Maintenance Site Lead in handling operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Hire, evaluate, and give feedback, as required, to the personnel under their responsibility.
  • Review asset job plans for predictive and preventive maintenance for mechanical, electrical, structural, and instrumentation equipment.
  • Collaborate (participate in/lead) with Maintenance and Operations personnel to fix and solve equipment problems during Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) exercises or daily complex/recurrent problems.
  • Participate in all EH&S initiatives, including investigations and CAPAs, as required.
  • Perform periodic review of recurring issues and develop action plans to mitigate and eliminate them.
  • Build preventive inspections/maintenance checklists and/or maintenance instructions.
