About The Position

HiFyve is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to provide hands-on leadership and direction to the maintenance team. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility and production equipment. The supervisor will establish maintenance priorities, assign work, coordinate projects, and effectively utilize maintenance personnel. Responsibilities include supervising the repair, maintenance, installation, and cleaning of production machinery and equipment, as well as overseeing general maintenance and improvement projects for the facility, building, and grounds. The role involves inspecting machinery and equipment for proper operation, reliability, and compliance, and ensuring critical facility systems like compressed air, refrigeration, and HVAC are maintained. Developing and improving preventative maintenance programs, monitoring task completion, and maintaining accurate documentation are key. The supervisor will also identify opportunities for equipment modifications and upgrades, order and maintain tools and supplies, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems. Additionally, this role involves leadership and team development, including staffing, interviewing, hiring, coaching, training, performance feedback, and conducting reviews. The supervisor will train team members on equipment, safety, and maintenance practices, develop team capabilities, and foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture. Safety and compliance are paramount, requiring adherence to OSHA, food safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as proper safety procedures like LOTO and PPE usage. The role also supports accident investigations and promotes a strong culture of safety, reliability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • At least 1 year of lead or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and facility maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial production equipment
  • Experience with facility utility systems such as compressed air, HVAC, and refrigeration systems preferred
  • Strong preventative maintenance and equipment reliability experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, employee development, coaching, and motivational skills
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and project management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance projects and responsibilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance and operational challenges
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operations, production, leadership, vendors, and other departments
  • Strong commitment to safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Technical, vocational, or additional education in industrial maintenance, electrical systems, mechanical systems, or a related field preferred
  • Food manufacturing or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on leadership and direction to the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facility and production equipment
  • Establish maintenance priorities, assign work, coordinate projects, and effectively utilize maintenance personnel
  • Supervise the repair, maintenance, installation, and cleaning of production machinery and equipment
  • Oversee general maintenance and improvement projects for the facility, building, and grounds
  • Inspect machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation, reliability, and compliance with operational standards
  • Ensure critical facility systems are properly maintained and operating efficiently, including compressed air, refrigeration, HVAC, and other plant utility systems
  • Develop, implement, and improve preventative maintenance programs and procedures
  • Monitor the completion of preventative maintenance tasks and ensure accurate maintenance documentation is maintained
  • Identify opportunities for equipment modifications, upgrades, and process improvements to increase reliability, efficiency, and production performance
  • Coordinate facility maintenance projects and support equipment improvement initiatives
  • Order and maintain necessary tools, equipment, replacement parts, and maintenance supplies
  • Troubleshoot and support repairs involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems
  • Assist with complex maintenance issues and provide technical support to maintenance technicians as needed
  • Maintain appropriate maintenance staffing levels and participate in interviewing and hiring new team members
  • Provide hands-on coaching, training, performance feedback, and development opportunities for maintenance personnel
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and address attendance and performance concerns as necessary
  • Train maintenance team members on equipment, safety procedures, sanitation requirements, and proper maintenance practices
  • Develop team capabilities and encourage production personnel to participate in basic equipment care and preventative maintenance activities
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, initiative, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the maintenance department
  • Lead by example and foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment in compliance with OSHA, food safety, sanitation, and other applicable regulations
  • Ensure maintenance personnel follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), chemical handling, PPE, and all other required safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance work environment
  • Support accident investigations and identify corrective and preventative actions to reduce future incidents
  • Promote a strong culture focused on employee safety, equipment reliability, and operational excellence

Benefits

  • Starting Salary: $85,000-$100,000/year
