About The Position

Join Tyson Foods in the Prepared Foods Division as a Maintenance Supervisor on the 3rd Shift. This dynamic role is responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance coordination, including leading and directing maintenance technicians, fostering a well-trained and motivated staff, and assisting the Maintenance Manager. The position involves managing and overseeing the preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment, quickly assessing problems to minimize production downtime, and ensuring all maintenance employees understand and follow company policies and procedures related to SQF Quality Management and GMP practices. Requirements

  • Animal Welfare check is required.
  • Ability and experience to lead, direct, evaluate and train a staff of 15 maintenance technicians.
  • Ability and experience to measure, monitor and reduce machine downtime.
  • Ability and experience to diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) problems and direct/assist with repairs.
  • Ability and experience to promote a ‘Safety First’ culture amongst staff.
  • Ability and experience to develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for equipment and plant.
  • Must have basic PLC experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook at the intermediate level.
  • Must reside in the United States.
  • Some weekend work required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or college program certificate preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a maintenance lead or maintenance supervisor with direct reports preferred.
  • Experience in directing, evaluating and training maintenance technicians.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical.
  • Experience with SAP a plus.
