About The Position

The community is an affordable housing community with Section 8 rent subsidy, providing housing to income-qualified residents. This position participates in on-call emergency for evening, weekends, and Holidays, and pays a premium rate of pay for each call out. Pay for this position is $26.44 per hour.

Requirements

HVAC/EPA Certified
Ability to adhere to work safety program
Ability to perform all duties including but not limited to lifting, climbing, standing, bending, loading, unloading, and working outdoors in inclement weather
Mechanically inclined
Reliable
Self-motivated
Eager to learn
Ability to work well as part of a property management team
Attentive to safety

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance
Diagnose mechanical problems
Assemble, install and repair wiring, electrical or electronic components
Assemble pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment
Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drill, and wrenches) to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
Complete work orders
Order parts as necessary
Recording type and cost of repair work
