About The Position

Burnam Holding Companies is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join their Columbia Rentals team. This role involves coordinating a team, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring safe work practices. Columbia Rentals manages a diverse rental portfolio in Columbia, MO, including new homes, apartments, townhomes, duplexes, and mobile homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in staff management, customer service, safety and compliance, and a passion for property maintenance.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prior maintenance experience required.
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs and manage competing deadlines.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while also effectively leading a team.
Ability to use basic computer systems and maintenance/work-order software.
Must have the knowledge and abilities necessary to complete the duties of the position.

Nice To Haves

Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge of general building maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and other common property maintenance functions preferred.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate special projects as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
Assist with monitoring all work orders assigned to the maintenance team.
Assist the Director of Maintenance with property inspections, maintenance planning, budgeting, and capital improvement projects.
Participate in meetings and training as required.
Serve as a resource and leader for assigned maintenance employees.
Other duties as assigned.
