About The Position

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising maintenance execution during an assigned shift or designated area. This role ensures maintenance work is completed safely, to standard, and in accordance with scheduled priorities. This role focuses on task execution, technician direction, safety enforcement, and CMMS compliance, while escalating issues related to reliability, resourcing, or recurring equipment failures to the Sr. Maintenance Supervisor.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Experience leading or directing maintenance work at the shift level
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (Fiix preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of industrial safety practices and compliance requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in window, door, or building materials manufacturing
  • Trade certification or technical maintenance training
  • Exposure to TPM or Lean manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance technicians during assigned shifts or areas
  • Assign and oversee maintenance tasks as planned by the Sr. Maintenance Supervisor
  • Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and to established standards
  • Respond to equipment issues and escalate unresolved or repeating problems
  • Execute assigned work orders and ensure accurate completion in Fiix
  • Record labor hours, parts usage, and failure codes correctly
  • Complete PM and corrective maintenance tasks as scheduled
  • Report delays, backlog concerns, or documentation issues to the Sr. Maintenance Supervisor
  • Enforce all safety rules including LOTO, machine guarding, electrical safety, and PPE requirements
  • Conduct job safety discussions prior to task execution
  • Stop work immediately when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed
  • Report incidents, near misses, and hazards promptly
  • Ensure technicians follow defined maintenance standard work
  • Support execution of Autonomous Maintenance and inspection routines
  • Verify lubrication, cleaning, and basic care tasks are completed properly
  • Identify abnormal equipment conditions and escalate as needed
  • Provide daily direction and oversight to maintenance technicians
  • Reinforce expectations for safety, quality, and work discipline
  • Monitor performance and provide coaching as needed
  • Communicate performance observations to the Sr. Maintenance Supervisor
  • Communicate equipment status and repair progress to production leadership during the shift
  • Escalate resource constraints, repeat failures, or reliability concerns
  • Participate in shift handoffs and status updates
