About The Position

Our Grande Prairie OSB division is recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing safety leadership, technical direction and supervision of the Mechanical Maintenance Team.

Requirements

Certified Millwright with 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preference given to those with forest product experience
Steadfast commitment to safety and ability to effectively coach / reinforce safety expectations
Innovative leadership and mentorship skills
Strong mechanical aptitude with problem solving, planning, and organizational skills
Experience with mobile equipment maintenance would be a strong asset
Strong communication skills (written / verbal) and proficient computer skills

Nice To Haves

preference given to those with forest product experience
Experience with mobile equipment maintenance would be a strong asset

Responsibilities

Ensure a safe work environment by coaching safe work practices, participating in safety observations & incident reviews, training & development and enforcing safety expectations.
Build relationships based upon trust, caring and integrity and assist with career development of Team Members.
Work collaboratively with operations, project development & planning, quality and procurement Teams to effectively maintain mill equipment.
Participate in full-cycle process of identifying, planning, installing and reviewing capital projects and equipment maintenance.
Work with reliability & maintenance planning to coordinate preventative & predictive maintenance programs to achieve uptime targets.
Responding to changing priorities and operating conditions to meet business needs.
