This position supports the Maintenance Manager in executing plant maintenance, reliability, and engineering initiatives. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of maintenance personnel, ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with production needs. This role focuses on implementing maintenance programs, coordinating work, and driving continuous improvement in equipment reliability and uptime.

Requirements

  • Prior Maintenance Supervisory experience.
  • Five or more years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized, self-starter with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to make sound decisions within scope of responsibility.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Ability to provide simple and accurate instructions.
  • Ability to work at times in a high temperature environment.
  • Frequent lifting or moving materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work 12 hour rotating shift schedule including working days and nights and rotating frequently if needed.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, and grasp.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders and work from heights.
  • I9 verification required.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain IKO safety goals and ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Lead safety and housekeeping efforts within assigned areas with a goal of zero incidents.
  • Lead by example in all safety practices.
  • Supervise daily maintenance activities, including assigning work, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate and support maintenance personnel, contractors, and production teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Utilize and maintain the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for work orders, scheduling, and tracking maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs to minimize production disruptions.
  • Support reliability initiatives by identifying failure trends and assisting in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the implementation of capital projects, including equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Ensure maintenance work is performed in compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (including but not limited to NFPA, SC OSHA, EPA, SC DHEC, FM, NEC).
  • Oversee contractor work to ensure safety, quality, and adherence to company standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports to support performance tracking and continuous improvement.
  • Support environmental compliance activities, including permits, inspections, and recordkeeping as required.
  • Assist in managing plant systems including fire protection systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, hydrants, and extinguishers) and ensure inspections and preventive maintenance are completed as scheduled.
  • Support facility security systems and infrastructure as needed.
  • Train, coach, and develop maintenance team members to improve skill levels and performance.
  • Communicate effectively with operations, engineering, and management teams regarding equipment status and maintenance priorities.
  • Other duties as required.
