Location: this is an onsite position in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. What this job involves: The Maintenance Supervisor leads the frontline maintenance team responsible for keeping facilities operating reliably and efficiently. This hands-on supervisory role combines technical expertise with people management, ensuring maintenance technicians have the direction, resources, and support needed to maintain building systems and respond to service requests effectively. You'll balance immediate repair needs with preventive maintenance programs while fostering a culture of quality workmanship and continuous skill development. This position requires both technical proficiency and the ability to train, motivate, and manage a diverse maintenance workforce.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in multi-building campus facilities management.
  • This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct maintenance technicians, assigning daily work orders and projects while ensuring proper coverage across shifts and facility areas
  • Perform hands-on maintenance and repair work on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment when additional support is needed
  • Review and prioritize work orders, ensuring urgent issues receive immediate attention while maintaining progress on scheduled preventive maintenance tasks
  • Conduct quality control inspections of completed work, providing feedback and coaching to technicians to improve workmanship and efficiency
  • Maintain maintenance documentation including work order records, equipment logs, and inventory tracking to ensure accurate reporting and compliance
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs, overseeing their work to ensure quality standards and minimal disruption to operations
  • Train maintenance staff on proper procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation while identifying skill gaps and development opportunities
