About The Position

This position is for a Maintenance Supervisor in a very fast-paced environment that requires quick thinking. The role is mentally and physically demanding. The Maintenance Supervisor will be part of the Maintenance team within General Assembly, which has a team size of around 100 people. This team provides service to the production team by fixing all broken machines and solving breakdown issues to prevent future occurrences. The primary responsibility of this role is to directly supervise an hourly workforce of approximately 15 people.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Documented experience being a journeyman themselves or working closely with journeymen.
• Experience working in an auto repair shop.
• Experience supervising UAW Skilled Trades.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to learn.
• Behaviors that indicate success in the role.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise the hourly workforce (around 15 people).
• Fix all broken machines.
• Solve machine breakdowns to prevent them from happening again.
• Provide service to the production team.
