About The Position

This position will manage the maintenance department to maximize overall equipment effectiveness and minimize unscheduled downtime. The role will be a mix of hands on and management. We operate with a Preventative Maintenance philosophy. Candidates must believe in the benefits of preventative maintenance and must have experience in the operation of a successful preventative maintenance program. Manages staff, scheduling, coaching and corrective actions, and employee evaluations.

Requirements

8+ years experience
Strong maintenance background in plant environment
Strong background in electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems
Experience in identifying and eliminating causes of downtime essential
Experience required in Predictive Maintenance methods
Able to understand and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, diagrams and schematics
Excellent organizational, communication (both written and verbal), reasoning, planning, and motivational skills
Candidate must be a team player and be able to report information to subordinates as well as managers

Responsibilities

Planning and coordinating preventative, scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks
Directing the activities of maintenance workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, equipment, buildings, grounds, and utility systems
Maintaining parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt
Evaluating new equipment purchases for integration within the facilities
