About The Position

Maintenance Superintendent At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition , which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. Pilgrim’s is looking for a Maintenance Superintendent to lead and coordinate maintenance activities across the facility. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, supporting production operations, and supervising maintenance team members in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The maintenance team supports production and facilities by ensuring equipment uptime, safe operations, and efficient maintenance execution.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of directly related maintenance supervision experience
  • Working knowledge of refrigeration, PLCs/electrical systems
  • Proficiency in plumbing, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills and ability to support maintenance systems
  • Ability to become Haz-Mat team qualified

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in poultry processing or food manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance team members performing repair, installation, and upkeep of plant equipment, buildings, and utility systems.
  • Plan work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance activities.
  • Maintain and inspect equipment to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards while minimizing downtime.
  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to support equipment reliability and production efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot maintenance issues and support team members in resolving problems and improving technical capability.
  • Support facility improvement projects, enforce company policies, and coordinate procurement of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
