About The Position

ABB is hiring a Maintenance Specialist for its Electrification Distribution Solutions business in Pinetops, North Carolina. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this onsite role focuses on maintaining and preserving the efficiency of equipment, production lines, and facilities while optimizing technical and financial resources. The position oversees routine and extraordinary maintenance and maintains and updates related technical documentation. The role is identified as second shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience working as a maintenance technician.
• Data analysis and reporting experience.
• Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Planned maintenance and backlog skills, and specialist technical and engineering skills.
• Knowledge and use of tools such as tape measures, calipers, grinders, and other hand tools as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 pounds.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering and management to specify maintenance plans for new production lines.
• Consult on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety.
• Resolve major technical, equipment, or facilities challenges to improve production-line performance.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other problems to minimize production disruption.
• Propose process and production-line improvements to reduce maintenance and optimize operational and energy efficiency.
• Implement health, safety, and environmental guidelines and directives.
• Oversee routine and extraordinary maintenance of equipment, production lines, and facilities.
• Manage and update technical documentation for equipment, production lines, and facilities.
