About The Position

Oversees and coordinates daily operations of the maintenance requirements and preventative maintenance schedules. Ensures and maintains all equipment, buildings, and property in proper condition. This role involves performing highly diversified duties to direct and/or maintain facilities and the plant facility’s equipment. It includes providing emergency/unscheduled repairs of facilities and/or equipment during production, and scheduled maintenance and repairs of production equipment during machine service. The specialist will perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of facilities and equipment. Basic building, electrical, and plumbing repairs are also part of the duties. The role requires reading and understanding technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair and maintain equipment, diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, making adjustments, or recommending subcontractors. Coordination and supervision of regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities are essential. The specialist will interface with appropriate staff/managers to receive information regarding maintenance needs and ensure timely response to requests. Monitoring and maintaining proper inventory levels and authorizing purchase orders for supplies and equipment are also key responsibilities. Ensuring all fire and safety inspections are completed and discrepancies corrected, and that property is in compliance with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations is critical. Accurate record keeping of all Inspection Reports and documents required for Internal and External audits is necessary. The role provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates, actively promoting and recognizing performance, and keeping up-to-date on overall team activities, identifying problem areas, and taking corrective actions. Additional duties as assigned by management are also expected. Specific to ASRS Support, the role requires a thorough understanding of the machine's functions, troubleshooting abilities, and making necessary adjustments in the HMI. Maintaining daily production and quality records, operating equipment safely, and keeping the work area clean are also required. Performing routine preventative maintenance and maintaining records of downtime causes and duration are part of the ASRS support duties. Clear and effective communication with counterparts from other cultures or backgrounds is important. Executing standard safety procedures with energized equipment and following all safety guidelines given by the equipment manufacturer are mandatory.

Requirements

  • Four to five years related experience or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of city and state building codes, OSHA requirements, and ADA laws; implements OSHA and ADA guidelines and programs.
  • Knowledge of ventilation/air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally accepted maintenance skills.
  • Knowledge of repairs on equipment (example: dock equipment and levelers, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, electronic/electrical equipment, etc.)
  • Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery and other power equipment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.

Responsibilities
