About The Position

Champaign Residential Services (CRSI) is seeking a Maintenance Specialist to join their team in Champaign County. This full-time position involves performing general maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements. The role also includes budget monitoring, documentation, supervising part-time staff, and participating in safety initiatives. Requirements

Minimum of 0-5 years of experience in performing general building, grounds, and equipment maintenance.
Knowledge of operating various equipment/tools related to maintenance tasks.
Organized with the ability to work independently with little supervision and manage time efficiently.
Ability to develop and monitor budgets.
Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
Communicate with supervisors and staff to complete needed repairs and upkeep.
Complete maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules per federal, state, and local requirements.
Assist in developing projected maintenance needs for annual budgets.
Monitor and work within approved maintenance budgets.
Complete documentation and expense reports per Agency requirements and regulatory standards.
Supervise and direct designated part-time and student maintenance staff.
Conduct or assist in developing training on various maintenance issues.
Participate as a member of the Agency's Safety and Health Committee.
Assist in monitoring the efficiency/effectiveness of the Agency's emergency plans.
Attend required training.
Be available for weekend/evening on-call duty on a rotating schedule.
Keep maintenance department neat, clean, and organized per Agency and OSHA standards.
Other duties as assigned.
