About The Position

The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for refurbishing equipment including performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting on cementing equipment, and support assets.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience involving heavy equipment, diesel engines, commercial vehicles, or oilfield equipment.
  • Experience diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance and major equipment repairs.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, air systems, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and service manuals.
  • Experience using diagnostic software and electronic testing equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize repairs in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Basic computer proficiency for maintenance documentation and reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school or vocational training in diesel technology, heavy equipment, automotive technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience working in oilfield services, cementing, pressure pumping, trucking, or heavy industrial operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical failures.
  • Utilize diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify equipment issues.
  • Recommend repair or replacement options based on equipment condition.
  • Assist with troubleshooting equipment failures during operations.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
  • Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Conduct pre-service and post-repair inspections.
  • Identify safety concerns and equipment deficiencies.
  • Ensure equipment meets company, customer, and regulatory standards before returning to service.
  • Document inspection findings and repair recommendations.
  • Complete work orders accurately and timely.
  • Document repairs, inspections, labor hours, and parts usage.
  • Maintain maintenance records within the Company's maintenance management system.
  • Report recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, and environmental regulations.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Identify required replacement parts.
  • Maintain tools and specialized diagnostic equipment.
  • Assist in controlling refurbishment related inventory costs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve refurbishment processes.
  • Participate in equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Assist in root cause analysis of equipment failures.
  • Recommend improvements that increase equipment availability and reduce repair costs.
  • Support implementation of standardized maintenance procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational goals.
