Requirements
- HS Diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience.
- Must be able to understand and communicate safety and other work related instructions.
- Requires the ability to follow instructions.
- Drive forklift.
- May occasionally operate a banding machine and radial arm saw.
Nice To Haves
- Typically more than three (3) years of experience in related job function.
Responsibilities
- Performing custodial duties, minor repairs, and assistance with the receiving of materials and products within the warehouse/yard making up job lot orders.
- Cleaning warehouse to meet company standards.
- Removing all refuse from warehouse and yard.
- Operating forklift, banding machine, and radial arm saw.
- Picking up banding, stickers, and empty pallets from warehouse/yard.
- Repairs damaged pallets.
- Prepares flatcars for removal from the yard.
- Moves product to assigned area.
- Reports the need for repairs and/or safety problems to the operations manager.
