About The Position

Regulates and monitors facility temperatures in accordance with specifications established by Administration and applicable CMS and other regulatory requirements. Performs routine building maintenance and minor repairs, including painting, plumbing, electrical, and other general facility maintenance within the scope of the position. Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors for repairs, service needs, inspections, and scheduled preventive maintenance. Performs and tracks routine preventive maintenance, including replacement of HVAC filters and other basic building-system maintenance. Identifies facility or equipment concerns requiring major repair or replacement and promptly communicates recommendations to management. Clears snow, ice, and debris from NOC sidewalks and coordinates snow removal services with contracted vendors for NOC and applicable shared/common areas. Monitors, tests, and maintains required documentation for generators, life-safety equipment, fire suppression systems, and other facility systems in accordance with daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual requirements. Responds to facility and maintenance requests from administration and department managers, including restrooms, heating and cooling concerns, minor repairs, and installation or mounting of pictures, view boxes, monitors, screens, and other equipment. Monitors inventory and coordinates ordering of medical gases and assists with the maintenance and monitoring of medical gas and vacuum systems. Coordinates and ensures completion of preventive maintenance for HVAC, medical gas, boiler, water softening, and other building systems. Serves as a Safety Officer and participates as a member of the Safety Committee. Assists with quarterly fire drills and ensures required inspections of fire extinguishers and other safety equipment are completed and documented. Assembles, moves, installs, and repairs office and clinical furniture, computer equipment, and other items as operational needs arise. Assists with facility renovations, new construction, relocations, and other building-related projects as needed. Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, equipment, inspections, preventive maintenance, and outstanding facility projects. Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors for facility maintenance and repairs as needed. Maintains a safe, clean, and functional environment and promptly identifies and addresses potential facility or safety concerns. Performs other duties as assigned based on organizational and facility needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Potentially heavy lifting, up to 100 lbs. or more.
  • Possible exposure to extreme outdoor heat and cold.
  • Exposure to various cleaning chemicals that may require special attention.
  • Building maintenance may require extensive climbing and exposure to heights.
