Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • 1-3 years of related warehousing or production experience
  • Electrical experience required, including knowledge of electrical wiring, reading prints, and performing electrical installation and troubleshooting
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Reliable transportation is a must
  • Ability to work overtime, as required
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, as required
  • Ability to work with vendors and/or contractors as assigned
  • Ability to provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Ability to learn and perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Requires good verbal and written communications skills.
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn about how our products are produced on equipment.
  • Must also have good organization skills, be detailed oriented, possess problem-solving capabilities and have excellent customer service skills.
  • Requires ability to organize and prioritize workload and be able to interact effectively with all types of people in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs independently on a repeated basis.
  • Ability to work at varying work-surface levels and machine operation heights.
  • Ability to move above or below workstations or retrieve items from various heights.
  • Ability to work in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent operation of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations and job sites as needed, which may involve driving or other modes of transportation.
  • Ability to move freely throughout the job site, including on occasional uneven surfaces, for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to ascend and descend ladders or stairs, as required.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow instructions and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance. instructions, inventory sheets, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to count, measure, and record data accurately.
  • Ability to respond to safety signals, alarms, and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to inspect products and materials to detect imperfections, defects, or irregularities and ensure quality and compliance.
  • Ability to properly and safely use mechanical equipment and tools, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery (training and certification may be required).
  • Ability to enter and exit a service vehicle and other mechanical equipment multiple times per day.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, hearing protection, or hard hats, depending on task or site conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience preferred
  • 1 -2 years of manufacturing experience; entry level hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills
  • Bi-lingual Spanish/ English

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all equipment related to the production process under the direction and tutelage of the Maintenance Lead.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical processes and controls as assigned.
  • Assemble and install new production equipment.
  • Make mechanical repairs.
  • Follow the existing preventative maintenance program.
  • Operate electrical and mechanical test equipment.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping conditions.
  • Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
  • Help create a safety culture and actively engage the workforce in projects that will help reach our journey to zero incidents.
  • Perform diverse duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Able to understand and complete PM’s based on PM schedules.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Identify the appropriate tools and equipment needed to complete the job.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform other duties as trained and qualified for.
