About The Position

This is a TEMPORARY - Part-Time Position for 1500 hours, PERS eligible. Key responsibilities include posting park reservations at various locations throughout the City of Escondido, litter abatement, emptying trashcans and replacing trash liners, delivering and restocking supplies from the warehouse, reporting and repairing minor defects in the parks, cleaning, stocking, and ensuring restroom quality, and performing minor landscaping, weed abatement, and debris removal. The ideal candidate will be able to start work at 3 am on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, work cooperatively with others, operate tools for weed and litter abatement while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude, and be able to read, write, and understand English to follow safety precautions and procedures.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent
Experience performing routine construction, landscape and/or maintenance work, including manual labor experience involving the use of hand tools and portable power tools is desirable
Must possess a valid Class "C" California driver's license at the time of application
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and mandatory overtime when required
Able to start work at 3am on Saturday, Sundays and holidays
Operate tools designed for week and litter abatement, don personal protective equipment in a manner consistent with safety procedures
Read, write, and understand English to follow safety precautions and procedures
