About The Position

The Plant Operations/Facilities Department at Texas Health Center for Diagnostics & Surgery is seeking a Maintenance Specialist I to join their diverse and inclusive team. This role focuses on providing exceptional customer care and responding efficiently and with quality to the needs of the facility. The Maintenance Specialist I will be responsible for routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for the hospital, its equipment, and properties, utilizing a computerized maintenance management system. This position also involves performing duties of various skilled trades and providing technical guidance to facility staff.

Requirements

H.S Diploma or Equivalent required
3 Years in commercial or industrial environment required
DL – Driver License Upon Hire required

Nice To Haves

1 Year healthcare environment preferred
Previous Maintenance experience, HVAC, plumbing experience, general maintenance.
Previous experience HVAC, Boiler, Equipment pumps, plumbing, and electrical experience highly preferred
General Maintenance Skills preferred
Other Healthcare Maintenance Certification Upon Hire Preferred

Responsibilities

Provide routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for hospital, hospital equipment, and hospital properties utilizing the computerized maintenance management system.
Performs the duties of skill trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, general maintenance, mechanical, HVAC, and exterior maintenance as required.
Provide technical support and general guidance to facility staff in the repair and operation of facility equipment, components, utilities, and the like.
Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, education opportunities, and related training.
