About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Soft Craft Helper supports skilled craft personnel in performing routine maintenance, repair, and installation activities in an industrial environment. This position assists with tasks such as insulation, scaffolding, painting, and general site upkeep while ensuring compliance with all safety and project requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous industrial or construction labor experience is a plus
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Willingness to learn multiple soft craft disciplines
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (when required)
• Capable of working in confined spaces and elevated areas

Responsibilities

• Assist soft craft personnel (insulators, painters, scaffold builders, etc.) with daily maintenance and project tasks
• Gather, organize, and transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites
• Perform basic labor duties, including cleaning, prepping surfaces, and material handling
• Support scaffold erection and dismantling under supervision
• Assist with insulation removal and installation tasks
• Clean and maintain work areas to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Follow directions from supervisors and skilled craft workers
• Adhere to all company, site, and client safety policies and procedures
• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Participate in safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and pre-job briefings
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or hazards immediately
• Perform additional duties as assigned
• Perform only work for which you are trained and authorized
• Follow established safe work practices and company policies
• Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times in an industrial environment
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions and varying weather environments
