About The Position

At John F. Martin & Sons, we believe strong maintenance teams are built on reliable equipment and healthy leadership. We are seeking a Maintenance Site Leader to lead the maintenance team at our Stevens Plant. This role is responsible for daily maintenance operations, including planning and scheduling, preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and technician development. We are looking for a servant leader who builds trust, creates accountability, develops people, and works well with production, quality, and other departments. The right candidate enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and leading a proactive maintenance culture.

Requirements

  • Experience leading maintenance teams in manufacturing
  • Strong technical knowledge of PLCs, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance and reliability improvement
  • Familiarity with OSHA, lockout/tagout, and food manufacturing standards
  • Ability to lead with humility, clarity, and conviction
  • Ability to serve the team by removing obstacles and providing support
  • Ability to build trust through consistency, honesty, and follow-through
  • Ability to hold themselves and others accountable

Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily activities of the maintenance team
  • Own weekly maintenance planning and scheduling in coordination with production
  • Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Lead breakdown response and root cause analysis
  • Conduct daily Gemba walks to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop technicians and team leaders through coaching, feedback, and training
  • Build strong relationships with production, quality, and other departments
  • Ensure safe work practices and food safety compliance
  • Manage maintenance costs and contractor support
  • Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
