About The Position

The Maintenance Shop Intern will support daily shop operations by assisting technicians and the Shop Supervisor with preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, documentation, parts management, and general shop organization. This role provides hands-on exposure to mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and industrial maintenance processes while developing practical skills in a professional maintenance environment.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a technical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, or related program.
• Must have completed the first year of college and be moving into the second year of a technical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, or related program.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of machines and tools in the shop.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic systems.
• Ability to operate forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Assists maintenance technicians with basic repairs, inspections, and diagnostics on equipment, tools, or vehicles.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance tasks under supervision (lubrication, filter changes, cleaning, adjustments).
• Maintains a clean and organized shop environment.
