Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic machine repairs, pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity.
Able to read technical documents.
The ability to work independently, without supervision required
Ability to organize priorities and workload required

Responsibilities

Able to set up, adjust (sizes and speeds) and troubleshoot packaging and production equipment such as (but not limited to): Coding machines – code wheels, ink jets, etc., Tape machines, Check weighers - programming, Bar code scanners – programming, Stretch packers, Glue systems
Work with Production to coordinate timely line change-over.
Manage time to anticipate production needs and eliminate down time.
Complete paperwork required for line set-up: lock-out/tag-out, start-up inspection, check maintenance documentation, etc.
Identify possible mechanical problems and report them to the Maintenance Lead.
Perform preventative maintenance as required by company PM program.
Adherence to all Company policies and procedures
Works to improve the effectiveness of the quality management system through the use of the quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions
Instills a sense of quality through modeled quality behaviors and mindset
Elevates complaints and problems, seeks Management assistance
Ensures proper PPE’s and Safety procedures are followed
Flexibly works other shifts, shifts maybe 8, 10 or 12 hours as needed
