About The Position

Under the supervisor and direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, perform tasks related to outdoor property maintenance, indoor facility maintenance and assist janitorial staff as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Experience in a manufacturing or equivalent working environment (an asset)
• Ability to use basic hand tools, painting tools, and measuring tools
• Ability to work in various weather conditions (outdoors)
• Certification in MEWP (3a and 3b) – comfortable working at heights

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing or equivalent working environment

Responsibilities

• Manage outdoor maintenance including shoveling snow, salting the parking lots, laneways, sidewalks and yard, cutting grass, and landscaping.
• Manage indoor facility maintenance including painting and operating a floor scrubber.
• Operate floor scrubber, lawn mower, Mobile Elevated Work Platform (with license), maintenance cart and forklift.
• Maintain equipment in a safe and clean manner.
• Ability to close work orders (RFM’s) using the maintenance computer system.
• Provide back-up support to Janitorial staff, as needed.
• Attend training as required.
