About The Position

DuPont is seeking an experienced Maintenance Scheduler to support maintenance work execution at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, DE. This role is ideal for a highly organized scheduler with experience coordinating maintenance activities in a manufacturing, industrial, or research campus environment. Experienced professional or supervisor with in-depth knowledge in a technical or specialized area, responsible for completing complex tasks requiring interpretation of policies and practices, under minimal supervision. May supervise employees, focused on task performance, and recommend improvements to the delivery of specialized processes.

  • Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and advanced knowledge of related job disciplines.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and differentiators in the market.
  • Has built a detailed understanding of market, function, processes and policies gained through multiple years of experience.
  • Interprets and applies organizational policies; recommends changes/improvements to specialized processes and procedures.
  • May have formal supervisory responsibilities, guiding and prioritizing the activities of individual contributors with similar responsibilities.
  • Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Works independently with minimal guidance, providing guidance to less senior team members.
  • Assignments often require independent judgment and evaluation.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm job readiness by verifying materials, tools, services, permits, approvals, and prerequisite work before activities are scheduled.
  • Communicate schedule changes, risks, constraints, and priorities clearly to maintenance supervisors, operations leaders, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor schedule performance, including compliance, attainment, urgent work, resource utilization, and opportunities to improve schedule stability.
  • Support daily execution in coordination with First Line Supervisors by making controlled schedule adjustments when emergent facility, utility, or research needs arise.
