About The Position

Envelop Group is a community of companies focused on the design, installation, and ongoing optimization of custom facility technologies that impact every square foot of a building's operations. We work with contractors, building owners, and consulting engineers to provide all the technologies needed for the most advanced, efficient, and secure operation of any facility. The Owner Direct Sales Account Manager is responsible for selling preventative maintenance agreements for Building Automation and HVAC solutions that are designed to reduce owning and operating costs to building owners, property managers, and senior level executives in commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings. The person in this role must be a focused and persistent self-starter who will continuously follow up on leads, prepare and present proposals, and close deals designed to ensure long-term customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent training and experience in a similar field.
  • Proven track record of successful business development and sales achievements in the commercial HVAC industry or related field.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, service contracts, and project-based solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Self-motivated and driven to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales-related tools.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional appearance.
  • May be required to satisfy requirements imposed by specific projects, customers, or company.
  • Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet.
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Pre-hire requirements include a drug test and a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and contact prospective customers to sell recurring preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and inspection agreements on HVAC equipment and building controls.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders including building owners, engineering leaders, and facility managers.
  • Actively engage with potential customers through a combination of networking, cold calling, email outreach, and in person meetings.
  • Present proposals, negotiate terms, and close agreements for HVAC and building automation service contracts and service projects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress in systems such as Salesforce and Service Trade.
  • Participate in sales training and attend trade shows and professional association meetings to promote company offerings.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Evaluate existing facility systems, and propose service agreements, maintenance programs, equipment and controls upgrades, and other potential solutions to meet the customers' needs.
  • Help educate customers to operate their facilities more efficiently and train customer maintenance personnel.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
