About The Position

We’re hiring a Maintenance Sales Representative to help accelerate growth in our successful commercial HVAC service business. This is a true hunter role ideal for someone who enjoys opening doors, creating demand, and building relationships from the ground up. We support commercial offices, schools, data centers, government facilities, critical infrastructure, and manufacturing sites by keeping their heating, cooling, and ventilation systems functional and running as efficiently as possible. If you’ve succeeded in proactive B2B sales (especially selling intangible products like services, software, insurance or consulting) you’ll adapt quickly to HVAC service sales. Technical HVAC experience is not required. An engaging and positive team-forward attitude, curiosity, discipline, and a willingness to learn are. This role is highly visible, well-supported, and tied to a long-term service-first growth strategy in a financially strong organization. Tolin Mechanical is based in Denver with branch offices in Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, Silverthorne, Phoenix, Tucson, Cheyenne, and the Washington DC area. Requirements

  • 2–4 years of proactive B2B sales experience
  • Background in selling services, software, insurance, or other non-tangible solutions is a strong plus
  • Proven comfort with cold outreach and rejection
  • Likability: People trust you and enjoy working with you
  • Competitive: You enjoy measurable goals and performance standards
  • Resilience: You recover quickly and stay productive through rejection
  • Drive: You want to win and you take ownership of results
  • Discipline: You execute consistently, not just when motivated
  • Coachability: You actively seek feedback and apply it
  • Over 18 years of age
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years outside sales experience
  • Strong written and verbal English skills
  • Valid driver's license with driving record in good standing

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate’s degree
  • Background in HVAC, facility services industries, or property management
  • Experience with business-to-business sales
  • Knowledge of the business environment in the Northern Colorado region
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • A demonstrated track record of rapport building, sales success, and customer satisfaction
  • A polished and professional image

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue new B2B prospects (cold outreach, networking, field activity)
  • Engage decision-makers (owners, facility managers, operations leaders)
  • Diagnose customer needs and position preventive and predictive maintenance agreements as a business solution
  • Manage a full-cycle sales process from first contact to close
  • Build a sustainable personal pipeline, not just one-off wins
  • Learn HVAC service fundamentals and continuously improve your sales approach through coaching
  • Consistently execute with discipline: activity targets, follow-ups, and CRM hygiene
